Koroma Leaves for Morocco


Freetown: July 21, 2016

The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has left Freetown Thursday, July 21, 2016 for high-level deliberations with His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The visit is part of His Excellency the President’s ongoing drive as Coordinator of the Committee of Ten (C-10) of the African Union to canvass support for Africa to secure two permanent and five non-permanent seats in the Security Council of the United Nations.

The President will also hold bilateral discussions with his colleague and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on a wide range of issues that include, but not limited to, the further strengthening of diplomatic ties between Sierra Leone and Morocco, trade, socio-economic development, and regional approaches to global peace and security.

The President will return to Freetown Sunday, July 24, 2016.
